Connecting to External Speakers
To enhance the sound from your video source, you can connect the projector to external self-powered
speakers using the optical digital audio out port.
You can also connect the projector to an amplifier with speakers.
Note: When using digital audio out, both the internal speakers and the external audio device will output
sound. In this case, it is recommended that you mute or completely lower the volume on the projector's
internal speakers to avoid interference.
Note: If you want to output higher quality audio, set Sound Output Format to Auto in the projector's
Sound menu.
1. Make sure your computer or video source is connected to the projector via HDMI, if necessary.
2. Locate an optical digital audio cable to connect your external speakers, or another type of cable with
the appropriate adapter.
3. Connect one end of the cable to your external speakers as necessary.
