●
Before you start to clean the machine, be sure to switch off and unplug the machine. Access to a live
machine’s interior for cleaning can cause electric shock.
●
Do not use benzene, paint thinner or other volatile liquids or insect repellant sprays as they might
discolor, deform or crack covers.
●
Cleaning the machine with an excessive amount of water may cause the machine to malfunction or
damage documents when they are being copied or printed.
Procedure
1
Wipe external covers with a firmly
wrung soft cloth moistened with water.
If it is difficult to remove dirt from external covers,
moisten a soft cloth with a small amount of neutral deter-
gent, and gently wipe the covers.
Never use cleaning agents other than water or neutral
detergent.
2
Wipe off any excess water from external covers with a soft cloth.
