Tuning Indication
The tuning indicator extends more than 80% of its full length on all ranges at best tuning.
The self-test result display reads the tune indicator voltage.
Manual Tuning
When tuning mode is changed from auto to manual mode, the tuning control voltage (a) found in
full search is selected. In manual tuning mode, the graphical tuning control voltage indicator
appears on the screen. The minimum scale is 4.9 V and the maximum scale is 32 V.
Tuning Circuit
Figure below shows the tuning circuit. Tune control voltage is output from DJ1, #7 on the SPU
board.

1. Auto tuning
Full search: U86 #1 changes from 32 Vdc to 2 Vdc.
Short search: U86 #1 changes from tuning point (b) +2.5 Vdc to tuning point (b) –2.5 Vdc.

Maunal tuning
U86 #1 changes from 5 Vdc to 32 Vdc.
(Rotating the VRM snob while pressing down the HL OFF snob.)
