– Check the rear sprocket and engine sprocket for wear.
» If the rear sprocket or engine sprocket is worn:
– Change the power set. x

replaced together.

– Measure the distance

Chain wear is not always even, so you should repeat this measurement at

When the chain is replaced, the rear sprocket and engine sprocket
should also be changed.
New chains wear out faster on old, worn sprockets.

» If the bottom edge of the chain bolt is in line with or below the chain sliding
guard:
– Change the chain sliding guard. x
– Check that the chain sliding guard is firmly seated.
» If the chain sliding guard is loose:
– Tighten the chain sliding guard.
