15.12 Changing the speedometer battery
Preparatory work
– Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.
– Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 82)

Main work
– Remove screws

– Pull the speedometer upward out of the holder.

– Using a coin, turn protection cap

all the way counterclockwise and remove it.
– Remove speedometer battery

– Insert the new battery with the label facing outward.

– Check the O-ring of the protection cap for correct seating.

– Position protection cap

and turn all the way clockwise using a coin.
– Press any button on the speedometer.
The speedometer is activated.
– Position the speedometer in the holder.
– Mount and tighten the screws with washers.
Finishing work
– Install the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 82)
– Check the headlight setting. ( p. 84)
– Set the speedometer. ( p. 20)
