Check the chain sliding piece for wear.
» If the bottom edge of the chain bolt is in line with or below the chain sliding piece:
Change the chain sliding piece. x
Check that the chain sliding piece is firmly seated.
» If the chain sliding piece is loose:
Tighten the chain sliding piece.
Guideline
Screw, chain sliding piece M8 15 Nm
(11.1 lbf ft)

Check the chain guide for wear.
Info
Wear is visible on the front of the chain guide.
» If the light part of the chain guide is worn:
Change the chain guide. x

Check that the chain guide is firmly seated.
» If the chain guide is loose:
Tighten the chain guide.
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
Remaining nuts, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 41)
12.42 Checking the frame x

Check the frame for cracks and deformation.
» If the frame exhibits cracks or deformation due to a mechanical impact:
Change the frame. x

A frame that has been damaged due to a mechanical impact must
always be changed. Repair of the frame is not authorized by Husq-
varna.
