11.9 Removing the lower triple clamp
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 49)
– Remove the front wheel. ( p. 92)
– Remove the fork legs. ( p. 51)
– Remove the start number plate. ( p. 58)
– Remove front fender. ( p. 58)
– Remove the handlebar cushion.

Take off cable holder

in front of the left radiator.

Remove screw

Remove screw

– Remove the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and hang
them to the side.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against dam-
age.
Do not kink the cables and lines.

– Remove the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Remove the upper steering head bearing.
