Engineer reset
Some events can be set to require an engineer reset to be performed. The
engineer reset can be done in one of the following ways:
The engineer (installer) performs an engineer reset from the Engineer menu.
See “8.2.4.13 Do reset” on page 239.
The user enters a reset code.
In case an engineer reset is required, an engineer code is displayed.
Eng. reset
Code:23353
In this case the user contacts the engineer (installer) and gives him the
engineer code displayed. Using this code and the system code defined in the
menu “8.2.4.12 System codeon page 239, the installer calculates a reset
code, which he gives to the user. The user enters the calculated code and
performs an engineer reset after logging in.
Note: If System code is not defined, the engineer reset by user is not
available.
The reset is performed by an activation of the special Engineer reset zone
type (see “4.1.n.2 Zone typeon page 172). This is used in systems using
RedCare transmitters, where the central station operator can switch an output
that is wired back into the panel to perform an engineer reset.
