5.7.2 Inspecting engine running at idle speed — SL0-007
Previous tasks
Make sure that the following preconditions are met:
q Engine is running at idle speed.
q Engine is secured in the idle speed operating mode.

Consumables and equipment
Not applicable.
Inspection
u Observe the engine running at idle speed.
u Record and report any defect found on the engine (for example: leak, unusual noise, unusual
vibration, unusual exhaust gas color).
u Record and report any anomaly found on generator set display (for example: faulty param‐
eter).
u Make sure that authorized service personnel correct the defect.
5.7.3 Testing engine in operation (ESP application only) — SL008
Previous tasks
Make sure that the following preconditions are met:
q Operating test is planned and agreed with the responsible person for the electrical network.
q Electrical load is available for the test.
q Generator set is ready for operation.
