Function and Performance Check 219
6 Function and Performance Check
6.1 Description
This chapter describes how to check major functions and performance of the product. The check
methods are only for reference and do not need to be performed on a regular basis.
6.2 Checking System Status
6.2.1 Operating Status
1. The ultrasound equipment is started and shut down properly (startup and shutdown time within the
normal range), and runs properly without abnormal sound or symptoms.
2. After the ultrasound system is started, the fan starts working, and no abnormal noise is heard when
the fan is working.
3. Check whether basic system information including the product configuration and software version
is normal on the About screen.
4. Check whether the contrast and brightness of the monitor are normal.
5. Check whether the time and date are valid and correct.
6. Check whether all status indicators are normal.
7. Check all log records with the user to confirm whether there are any abnormalities.
6.2.2 Operating Environment
Check the ambient temperature and humidity. The measurements related to safety features are
particularly sensitive to humidity. If the insulation feature of the system deteriorates due to the increase
of system service time or system malfunctions, the fluctuation range of measurement results are likely
to increase with the increase in humidity.
