If the picture vibrates during still frame, turn the jog dial while
pressing the ONE KEY PROGRAM button on the front panel
until the picture is steady.
Selectingthe On-screenLanguage
You can set your VCR to display on-screen m_ssages, menus, and
functions in one of three languages: English, Spanish, or Frenc.h.
You should do this before you use the menus or set any audio/
video functions.
Beforeyou begin, you need to know:
• how to view the p!Lcture coming from your VCR. (See page 23.)

Use ADJUST to select,

Make sure you are viewing the picture c.oming from your
VCR. Then, press the MENU button on the remote control. If
this is the first time the menus have been used, you will see
the menu for selecting an on-screen language.
Turn the ADJUST dial on the remote control to move the
cursor next to the desired language.
Turn the shuttle ring right; on the remote control. The menu
will change to the "VCR Main Menu."
Press the MENU button to exit the menus.
_Important: The "Select Language" menu is unique. While all other menus can
be accessed at almost any time, the "Select Language" menu will
not automatically appear again after it is first set. To see the
"Select Language" menu, press the TIMER RESET button on the
back of the VCR, then follow the procedure on this page.
t Usingthe AudioandVideoFunctions
You can use the remote control to select many of the VCR's audio
and video functions and adjust their settings The VCR will
display the settings on the television's screen.
