Electrical System
2.1
General
■ Power supply
Problem Cause Measure
There is no power even
though the power switch
is on.
The power cord is not connected, or is
connected improperly.
Connect the cable properly.

Microscopy - 9 Connect the power cord”.)
■ Illumination
Problem Cause Measure
The dia-illumination LED
is not illuminated.
There is no power supplied.
Plug in the power cord.

The dia-illumination LED
cannot be turned
ON/OFF with the
ON/OFF switch.
The microscope is set to the setting mode.
Set the setting mode switch on the remote
control pad to the left side to switch to the
operation mode.
A control is given to DS-L4 or Ni Setup
Tool. Otherwise, an operation has been
disabled due to DS-L4 or Ni Setup Tool
settings.
Change the setting with DS-L4 or Ni Setup
Tool.
A brightness cannot be
adjusted with the
dia-illumination LED
brightness control knob.
A control is given to DS-L4 or Ni Setup
Tool. Otherwise, an operation has been
disabled due to DS-L4 or Ni Setup Tool
settings.
Change the setting with DS-L4 or Ni Setup
Tool.
■ Motorized nosepiece
Problem Cause Measure
The motorized
nosepiece does not
move.
The microscope is set to the setting mode.
Set the setting mode switch on the remote
control pad to the left side to switch to the
operation mode.
An operation has been disabled due to
DS-L4 or Ni Setup Tool settings.
Change the setting with DS-L4 or Ni Setup
Tool.
The motorized
nosepiece skips
addresses.
The toggle function is ON.
Press the toggle pattern switch on the remote
control pad until the toggle function is turned
OFF.

■ Motorized swing-out condenser
Problem Cause Measure
The motorized swing-out
condenser does not
move.
The motorized swing-out condenser cable
is not connected.
Connect the cable properly.

Microscopy”.)
The motorized swing-out
condenser’s top lens is
not in the designated
position.
The top lens has been misaligned due to
external force.
Turn the power OFF, and then turn it ON
again.
Operation of the
motorized swing-out
condenser is not linked
to the rotation of the
nosepiece.
Interlocking is not configured.
Configure interlocking.
