6. Troubleshooting
A paper jam has occurred around the front cover.
When the error code 401 is displayed, paper may have automatically ejected. In this case,
open and close the front cover to clear the error.

Insert your finger into the recess on the right side of the machine and pull the
front cover open lever (1) to open the front cover (2) forward.

Remove the jammed paper gently in the direction of the arrow if an edge of
jammed paper can be seen.
• If jammed paper is invisible, close the front cover.
If the error persists, paper jams may occur in the duplex unit. Refer to "
Error Code "372"" to remove the jammed
paper.

Close the front cover (2).
Task is complete.
