21.Connect the water temp sensor

and DET sensor

to the wiring harness.
NOTICE
Install any cable ties noted during removal for routing.
22.Install the exhaust valve assembly(s).
a. Turn the handlebar to the right.
b. Pull the EV cable taut to bring the valves to the full
open position and install the EV assembly

c. Loosely install the fasteners

retaining the
electronic variable exhaust system. Torque to
specification.
NOTICE
The shorter exhaust valve base fasteners should be
positioned in the outer mounting holes.
TORQUE
Exhaust Valve Base Fasteners
9 ft-lbs (12 N·m)

d. Verify the actuator cable

is still installed on the
actuator pin and properly retained in actuator
bracket.
