CHAINCASE SPROCKET RATIO SPEED CHART AXYS (7.764 CD)
7.764 CD Chaincase
The following gear and chain combinations are acceptable for use with the 7.764″ (197.2 mm) center distance
chaincase. MPH speed is the theoretical speed when the drive and driven clutches are at a 1:1 ratio.
NOTICE
Because the vehicle speed sensor obtains its pulse reading from the brake disc, changing the factory-specified gear
ratio (upper / lower sprockets) will result in the speedometer displaying inaccurate speeds.
Digital Wrench provides a special tool to allow technicians to enter the new upper and lower sprockets into the
software and then re-calibrate the speedometer offset.
If Digital Wrench is not used to re-calibrate the speedometer offset, the indicated vehicle speed will be incorrect on
the instrument clusters.
While the upper and lower sprocket values can be changed in Digital Wrench, no provision is made in the event a
larger or smaller diameter driveshaft is installed in the vehicle. Only the factory-installed driveshaft is used in the
speedometer offset logic.
IMPORTANT
Do not use upper / lower sprocket combinations that are not listed on the table. Non-recommended sprocket and
chain combinations may cause severe chaincase damage.
NOTICE
Does not apply to QuickDrive™ System.
