FUEL PUMP REMOVAL / SERVICE
WARNING
Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under
certain conditions. Do not smoke or allow open flames
or sparks in or near the fuel tank / fuel system.
1. Follow the procedure for fuel tank removal.
2. Use the PFA Nut Socket to remove the pump flange

3. Carefully extract the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
Manipulate the pickup assembly

to fit through the
tank opening. Do not kink the fuel pickup hose during
this process.
4. Discard the pump flange gasket
e
.
WARNING
Do not re-use a pump flange gasket. Always use a new
gasket during assembly.
5. Inspect the fuel pickup assembly (sock). The pickup
must be replaced if it is damaged or contaminated
with foreign material.
