The HDD is used to optimize many parts of the printing system as well as improving throughput and
ease-of-use. The HDD stores the following information:

Resource storage space for downloaded fonts
Non-Volatile Memory
The 16 MB Flash Memory contains the BIOS, etc.
The 1Kbit EEPROM holds the MAC address data.
