Service Call
Service Call Conditions
The ‘SC Table’ section shows the SC codes for controller errors and other errors. The latter are put into
four types. The type is determined by their reset procedures. The table shows the classification of the
SC codes.

Reset Procedure
A
The SC is immediately displayed on the operation
panel when SC occurs.
The error involves the fusing unit. The machine
operation is disabled. The user cannot reset the error.
Enter the SP mode and execute
[Fuser SC Reset].*1
Then turn the machine OFF and
ON.
Printer model: Engine
maintenance > Fuser SC Reset
MF model: Engine Service Setting
> Fuser SC Reset
B
When a function is selected, the SC is displayed on the
operation panel.
The function cannot be used (down time mitigation).
Turn the machine OFF and ON.
C
The SC history is updated. The machine can be
operated as usual.
The SC will not be displayed. Only
the SC history is updated.
D
The SC is displayed on the operation panel.
The machine cannot be used (machine error SC).
Turn the machine OFF and ON.
*1: To prevent damage to the machine, the machine cannot be operated until the fusing related SC has
been reset by a customer engineer.
• In the case of the high-temperature hardware SCs, execute [Fuser SC Reset] > [Hard High
Temp. Detection].
(SC544-00, SC554-00, SC564-00, and SC574-00)
• For other fusing related SCs, execute [Fuser SC Reset] > [Fusing SC Reset].
