6. Reconnect the CN800 connector on the HVPS (PCB3).
7. Re-install the HVPS (PCB3).
8. Replace the HVPS (PCB3).
9. Replace the EGB (PCB1).
10. Replace the harnesses on the HVPS (PCB3).

Waste toner collection motor (M7) error
The waste toner collection motor error is detected more than 3 times when the
motor stops.
• Loose, broken, defective connector or harness defective
• Defective waste toner collection motor (M7)
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Reconnect the connectors.
2. Replace the waste toner collection motor (M7).
SC 5xx ( Paper Feed and Fusing)
Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
Fusing motor (M4) malfunction
A motor malfunction was detected because the lock signal remained HIGH (motor
not rotating normally) 20 consecutive times when checked at 100 ms intervals after
the motor switched ON.
• Fusing motor (M4) defective
• Harness connector lose, broken, defective, or harness defective
• EGB (PCB1) defective
• Unit torque high
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Replace the fusing motor (M4).
2. Re-connect the connector of the fusing motor (M4).
3. Replace the fusing motor (M4) harness.
4. Replace the EGB (PCB1).
5. Replace the fusing unit.
