Playing Songs and Recording Your Performances
You can record your own performance on the V-Piano Grand.
1.
In the song screen, choose song number 000 (song name:
New Song).
2.
If you want the metronome to sound while you’re
recording, turn Function on, and press the [F4 (OPTION)]
button.
The option menu will appear.

Use the [F3 (
▲
)] button or the [F4 (
▼
)] button to select a
metronome parameter.

Use the [Value] dial to change the setting of the selected
parameter.
5.
When you’ve finished making metronome settings, press
the [Exit] button to return to the song screen.
6.
In the song screen, turn Function on, press the [F1
(TEMPO)] button, and turn the [Value] dial to adjust the
metronome tempo.
Now you’re ready to record.
7.
In the song screen, turn Function off, and press the [F4
(REC)] button.
The [F3] button indication will change to [F3 (REC START)], and the
V-Piano Grand will enter recording-standby mode.
8.
Begin playing from recording-standby mode or press the
[F3 (REC START)] button to start the recording.
To exit recording-standby mode and stop, press the [F4 (REC)]
button.
9.
When you’re finished recording, press the [F3 (STOP)]
button.
The display will indicate “Save Song?”
10.
Press the [F4 (SAVE)] button to save the song.
If you decide to cancel without saving, press [F1 (CANCEL)].
Recording Your Performance
Parameter
Description
Metronome Switch
Turns the metronome on/off.
Metronome Volume Adjusts the metronome volume.
Beat Specifies the time signature.
If the following screen appears
If you press the [F4 (REC)] button when a song is selected, a
screen like the following will appear.
If you want to layer an additional performance onto the
selected song, press the [F1 (ADD ON)] button.
If you want to record a new song (rather than layering onto an
existing song), press the [F4 (NEW SONG)] button.
If the following screen appears
If you attempt to select a different song without saving the
previously recorded performance, a screen like the following
will appear.
If you press the [F4 (OK)] button the previously recorded
performance will be erased.
If you don’t want to erase the previously recorded
performance, press the [F1 (CANCEL)] button to return to the
previous screen, and save your performance (p. 54).
