INSTALLATION
Installation is reverse order of removal with special attention to
the following steps.
Do not re-use O-ring and cushion once removed.
Always use new parts.
1. Replace injector O-ring 1 with new one using care not to
damage it. Install grommet 2 to injector.
2. Place delivery pipe bolts 3 and two (2) insulators (collars)
4 in position.
3. Replace injector cushion 5 with new one and install it to
cylinder head.
4. Apply thin coat of fuel to injector O-rings, then install injec-
tors into delivery pipe 6 and cylinder head.
Make sure that injectors rotate smoothly.
5. Tighten delivery pipe bolt and make sure that injectors ro-
tate smoothly.

m (2.3 kg-m, 16.5 lb.-ft.)

Apply fuel to O-ring
6. Reconnect fuel feed hose to fuel delirery pipe.
7. Connect lead wire connectors to each injector.
8. Turn ignition switch “ON” for 3 seconds (to operate fuel
pump), then turn it “OFF”.
Repeat this (ON and OFF) procedure 3 or 4 times to pres-
surize fuel system.
Check for fuel leaks around fuel injector.
