FUEL SYSTEM 12-5
REMOVAL
• Turn the fuel valve to the OFF position.
• Place a container beneath the drain hose, drain fuel from the
float chamber by loosening the drain screw

1.
• Disconnect the fuel hose
î›§
2.
• Disconnect the throttle position sensor coupler
î›§
3.
• Remove the wire clamp and throttle pulley cover
î›§
4.
• Loosen the lock-nuts
î›§
5.
• Remove the throttle cables from the pulley.
• Remove the hot starter cable
î›§
6.
• Loosen the carburetor clamp screws and take out the carbu-
retor from between the intake pipe and air cleaner duct.
" WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
Keep heat, spark and flame away.
CAUTION
After removing the carburetor, cover the intake pipe
with clean cloth to prevent dust from entering to the
engine.
