7-6 CLUTCH
INSTALLATION
Install the clutch plates in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points:
• Apply engine oil to the drive plates
î›§
1 and driven plates
î›§
2.
• Install the push rod and push piece.
• Apply engine oil to the release bearing
î›§

NOTE:
The covered side
î›§
A of the bearing should face outside.
• Fit the pressure plate.
• Install the clutch springs and clutch spring set bolts.
• Hold the clutch housing with the special tool.
" 09920-53740: Clutch sleeve hub holder
• Tighten the clutch spring set bolts to the specified torque.
NOTE:
Tighten the clutch spring set bolts diagonally.
$ Clutch spring set bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
• Install the gasket

4 and clutch cover
î›§
5.
• Tighten the clutch cover bolts diagonally.
$ Clutch cover bolt: 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
• Install the brake pedal. (!16-18)
INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
• Engine oil level and oil leakage (!2-11)
• Clutch cable play (!2-17)
• Smooth operation of clutch assembly
Outside
CAUTION
Be careful not to damage the clutch housing or clutch
plates.
CAUTION
Replace the gasket

4 with a new one.
