Engine oil level, checking
For oil quality and change intervals refer to Technical
Data, page 154.
The oil level must be checked daily before first start.
The level can be read out in the Glass Cockpit display
but can also be checked with the dipstick on the
engine.
Oil level read-out
The oil level is found in menu Info > Vessel info > Oil
level. Press “Read out” to make a new check of the oil
level.
Refill
In order to keep a better check of e.g. oil consumption
it is recommended that oil is not filled until the level
reaches the "MIN" line on the oil dipstick.
NOTICE! The oil level must be between the MAX and
MIN marks on the dipstick. Levels that are higher or
lower than these marks can damage the engine.
NOTICE! The engine must be shut down for at least
one hour before the correct oil level can be read out.
Also the vessel must not be tilted during read out.
Fuel System
Only use the grades of fuel recommended in the fuel
specification, refer to Technical Data, page 155.
Always observe the greatest cleanliness during
refueling and work on the fuel system.
All work on the injectors of the engine must be carried
out by an authorized Volvo Penta workshop.
WARNING!
Fire hazard. When carrying out work on the fuel system
make sure the engine is cold. A fuel spill onto a hot
surface or an electrical component can cause a fire.
Store fuel soaked rags so that they cannot cause fire.
WARNING!
Store fuel soaked rags and other flammable material
so that there is no danger of them catching fire. Fuel
soaked rags can ignite spontaneously under certain
conditions.
