DPS Repositioning
NOTICE! The DPS repositioning function requires
Glass Cockpit Display.
DPS repositioning is a function that enables
adjustments of the anchored position by moving the
joystick while the DPS function is active.
The repositioning is made in fixed steps, length/
degrees. Default length for each positioning step is 3 m
(10 ft) but can differ depending on installation. Each
heading step is 5 degrees.
Execute DPS Repositioning as follows:
1 Activate the DPS.
2 Change heading by making a full joystick
movement forward, aft abeam or twist the top of the
joystick.
3 Confirm the repositioning by releasing the joystick
to its central position. An audible signal confirms the
repositioning.
4 Repeat step 2–3 to accumulate positioning steps
for larger position adjustments. It is possible to
accumulate up to three steps and each
repositioning request must be within three seconds.
It is only possible to move in one direction at a time.
The movement can be deactivated at any time by
moving the joystick in any direction except the headed
direction. Two audible signals confirm the deactivation
of the movement.
