3.28 Crane-lifting the machine
Safety instructions
• The crane and the lifting gear must have suitable dimensions
• Crane-lifting the machine requires suitable lifting gear
• Secure the machine against unintentional movement!
• Check the cab for damage.
Incorrect crane-lifting of the machine –
Accident hazard!
☞ Ensure that no one is in the machine!
☞ Have loads fastened and crane operators guided by experienced persons only!
The person guiding the crane operator must be within sight or sound of him
☞ Ensure that the crane and the lifting gear (cables, chains) have sufficient
lifting capacity!
☞ Raise the machine only if the standard bucket is empty
☞ Stay clear of suspended loads!
☞ It is essential that you read the safety instructions at the beginning of this
chapter and follow any other safety instructions relevant in your country!
☞ Ensure that the lifting gear has the required lengths L1, L2, L3 and L4.
Tighten the following screw connections to the specific torque before raising
the machine.
Retighten loose connections immediately. Contact an authorized workshop if
necessary
– see Threaded fittings and attachments on page 5-33.
☞ Tighten both screws A to 110 Nm (81 ft.lbs).
