Item Description
F/W Version Displays the latest firmware version.
Adjust BTR Specifies the bias transfer roller (BTR) voltage for printing on the selected paper type.
Adjust Fusing Unit Specifies the optimum Fusing Unit voltage for printing on the selected paper type.
Density Adjustment Compensates for the changes in toner intensity that can occur as toner cartridges or the
imaging unit age.
Clean Developer Rotates the developer motors and stirs the toner cartridges to clear old toner from the
developers.
Toner Refresh Rotates the developer and stirs the toner in the developer.
Initialize NVM Initializes the settings stored in the non-volatile memory (NVM) except for the network
settings. The NVM stores the printer settings even after the power is turned off. After
executing this function and restarting the printer, all the menu settings are reset to their
default values.
Note: You cannot select this setting during printing.
Adjust Altitude Adjusts the altitude of the printer to obtain optimal printing results.
Counter Reset Resets the toner counter for accurate reporting of the toner status.
Secure Settings
Use this menu for controlling access to printer features.
Item Description
Panel Lock When enabled, access to the Admin Menu requires a password. For details, see Changing
the Panel Lock Password on page 141.
Service Lock Specifies if a function is unlocked and available to everyone, locked from everyone, or
password locked, requiring a password for access:
• Copy
• Fax
Available on WorkCentre 3045NI Multifunction Printer only.
• Scan
• Print from USB
Note: Panel Lock must be enabled before setting the service locks.
Secure Receive Turns Secure Receive Set On or Off.
Scan to Email
Use this menu to enable and disable the ability to edit the From field when an image is scanned to an
email address.

Edit From Field Enables or disables the edit From field function.
