ANTITHEFT ALARM SYSTEM
The vehicle is fitted with a siren alarm
system. It can be armed or disarmed using
push-button (1) on the remote control.
When arming it, you will hear two short
beeps and all the direction indicators will
flash twice to confirm alarm is now armed.
When disabling it, you will hear one short
beep and all the direction indicators will
flash once to confirm alarm is now
disarmed.
Once it is armed, the alarm light (2) on the
instrument panel will flash, the motion
sensors and the under-seat compartment
sensors will activate after 30 seconds.
After 50 seconds from vehicle switch-off, or
from alarm disable, the system
automatically disables engine ignition, in
order to ensure a minimum safety level in
case you forget to enable the alarm system
manually. In this case, the siren connected
to the motion and under-seat compartment
sensors is not active, but the vehicle can
not be started.
