INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING
Check the vehicle before each ride to
ensure safe riding. (See the PRE-RIDE
CHECKS CHART on the side). Failure to
perform these checks may lead to
severe personal injury or vehicle
damage.
If you have any doubts on the operation
of the vehicle controls or believe that
any vehicle components might be
faulty, do not hesitate to contact an
aprilia Authorised dealer.
A quick pre-ride check takes just a few
minutes and greatly improves your
safety.
PRE-RIDE CHECKS CHART
Part Check page
Front and rear disc brakes Check for proper operation, check lever free play, fluid level and
check for leaks. Check the pads for wear. Top up brake fluid, if
necessary.

Brake levers Make sure that they work smoothly.
If necessary, lubricate the joints.

Throttle Check for smooth operation; throttle should snap fully open
and closed at all positions of the steering. Adjust and/or
lubricate as required.

Engine oil Check and/or top up as required. 24
Wheels / tyres Check tyre surface, inflation pressure. Check for wear or
damage.

Steering Steering should rotate smoothly and evenly. There should be
no play or looseness.

Side stand and centre
stand
Make sure that they work smoothly and that the spring
tension brings them back to their normal position. Lubricate
joints and connections, if necessary.

Fastening elements Make sure that the fastening elements are not loose. Adjust
or tighten as required.

Fuel tank Check fuel level and top up, if necessary. Make sure there
are no leaks or obstacles in the circuit. Make sure the filler
plug is tightened securely.

Coolant Coolant level in the expansion tank must be between the
"
MIN" and "MAX" marks.

Lights, warning lights,
horn and electrical
devices
Check the proper operation of the acoustic and visual devices.
Change the bulbs or repair if faulty.
