BULBS
Carefully read page 39
(MAINTENANCE).
WARNING
Risk of fire.
Keep fuel and other flammable
substances away from electric
components.
CAUTION
Before changing a bulb, set the ignition
switch to position “ ” and allow a few
minutes for the bulb to cool down.
Wear clean gloves or use a clean, dry
cloth to handle the new bulb.
Do not put your fingerprints on the
bulb, as this may lead to overheating
and failure.
If you have handled the bulb with bare
hands, clean it with alcohol to avoid any
damage.
DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRES.
NOTE Before changing a bulb, check
the fuses, see page 65 (CHANGING THE
FUSES).
REPLACING THE FRONT
DIRECTION INDICATOR BULBS
Read paragraph (BULBS) at the side
carefully.
To change the bulbs:
u Remove the front cover, see page 58
(REMOVING THE FRONT COVER).
CAUTION
Proceed with care.
Do not damage the tabs and/or their
seats.
u Working from the front of the vehicle,
twist the bulb holder (3) with the bulb (4)
clockwise and extract both from their
seat.
u Press the bulb (4) slightly and rotate it
anticlockwise.
u Extract the bulb from its seat.
NOTE Insert the bulb into the bulb
holder, so that the two pins slide into the
slots in the holder.
u Fit a new bulb of equal rating.
u Reverse removal procedure to install the
bulb.
