REMOVING THE REAR TOP BOX
Place the vehicle on the centre stand and
raise the saddle, see page 23
(UNLOCKING/LOCKING THE SADDLE).
NOTE For a detailed description of the
correct procedures, please read the
instructions placed inside the rear top box
before removing or refitting the rear top
box.
◆ Release and remove the two screws (2)
and remove the under-saddle cover (1).
◆ disconnect the two brake light
connections (3) on the rear top box.
Open the rear top box, see page 24 (REAR
TOP BOX).
◆ Tighten the adjuster inside the box fully.
◆ Remove the mat from the rear top box
and place it between cover and bottom
of the box to keep it open.
◆ Open the plastic covering (4) and
release the box cable (5) from the
opening cable (6) on the vehicle.
NOTE Before closing the plastic
covering (4), unscrew the adjuster inside
the rear top box until about 10 mm show.
◆ Release and remove the four retaining
screws (7) and lift the rear top box. Put it
down gently to avoid damage.
CAUTION
On refitting, ensure that the rear top box
is fastened securely. Reconnect the
connections of the rear top box brake
lights (3) and the box cable (5) to the
opening cable (6) on the vehicle.
