◆ Lift the lower end of the front cover
slightly as shown by the arrow. Open the
front cover slightly but do not remove it.
◆ disconnect the headlight connection (4)
at the wiring harness end.
◆ Pull the front cover gently to remove.
CAUTION
Ensure that the tabs with the clips
locate correctly into their seats on
refitting.
THROTTLE TWISTGRIP
ADJUSTMENT
Read page 41 (MAINTENANCE)
carefully.
There should be 2-3 mm free play in the
throttle twistgrip cable (measured at
twistgrip edge).
If not so:
◆ Place the vehicle on the centre stand.
◆ Take off the rubber gaiter (5).
◆ Loosen the locknut (6).
◆ Rotate the adjuster (7) until setting the
specified free play.
◆ After adjusting, tighten the locknut (6)
and check free play again.
◆ Refit the rubber gaiter (5).
◆ The cable (8) opens the throttle.
◆ The cable (9) closes the throttle.
WARNING
After adjusting, turn the handlebar and
ensure that idling speed is unaffected
by handlebar movement. Open the
throttle and ensure that the twistgrip
springs back to the closed position
smoothly and gradually when released.
