5 About this product
5.1 Performance description
The Axial piston variable pump generates, controls and regulates a hydraulic fluid
flow. It is designed for stationary applications.
Refer to the data sheet (Part II) and the order confirmation for the technical data,
operating conditions and operating limits of the axial piston unit.
5.2 Product description
The A4VSO ATEX is a variable pump with axial piston rotary group in swashplate
design for hydrostatic drives in open circuits. Flow isproportional todrive speed
and displacement.
The flow can be continuously adjusted by controlling the swashplate (cradle) (13).
For axial piston units in swashplate design, the cylinder (10) with pistons (11) is
aligned along the axis of the drive shaft (1).
In the open circuit, the hydraulic fluid flows from the reservoir to the hydraulic pump
and is transported from there to the consumer via a directional valve. From the
consumer, the hydraulic fluid is returned to the reservoir via a directional valve.
