10.3 Maintenance
The axial piston unit islow-maintenance when used asintended. You can
change the hydraulic fluid; all other maintenance work should be performed
by BoschRexrothService. Observe the specifications in the chapter titled
"Hydraulicfluid" on the data sheet (Part II).
The service life oftheaxial piston unit isheavily dependent onthe quality
ofthehydraulic fluid. This iswhy we recommend changing thehydraulic fluid atleast
once per year orevery 2000 operating hours (whichever occurs first), orhaving
itanalyzed bythehydraulic fluid manufacturer oralaboratory todetermine its
suitability for further use.
The service life of the axial piston unit is limited to the service life of the built-in
bearings and the shaft seal.
Observe the maintenance interval for replacing the bearings and shaft seal.
Have BoschRexrothService perform maintenance on the unit upon reaching the
operating hours listed in the following table or every four years, whichever comes
first; for the address, see chapter 10.5 "Repair" on page 61.
