7.3.2 Inside-reservoir installation
Inside-reservoir installation is when the axial piston unit is installed in the tank
below the minimum hydraulic fluid level. The axial piston unit iscompletely below
thehydraulic fluid.
Iftheminimum fluid level isequal toor below theupper edge ofthepump,
seechapter7.3.3 "Above-reservoir installation".
Our advice is to fit a suction pipe to the suction port "S" and to fit a pipe to case
drain port "R(L)" or "T". In this case, the other ports must be plugged, except the
bearing flushing "U" for installation position "drive shaft up". The housing
oftheaxial piston unit must befilled before fitting thepiping and filling
thereservoir with hydraulic fluid.
