32/72 Installation
BoschRexrothAG, axial piston variable pump A4VSO, RE 92050-01-X-B1/2019.08.23
▶ Make sure that the reservoir level is monitored. If the minimum level falls below a
value, the axial piston unit may be damaged and its ignition protection nullified.
Do not restart the machine/system until the hydraulic fluid level is once more
above the minimum level.
▶ For Equipment Category II 2G Ex h IIC T4-T1 Gb X, the reservoir level must be
monitored continuously and the system must be switched off immediately if the
minimum level falls below a value.
▶ Make sure that theworking environment attheinstallation site iscompletely
free ofdust and foreign substances. The axial piston unit should beclean when
installed. Contamination of the hydraulic fluid can considerably affect the
function and service life of the axial piston unit, as well as its suitability for use
inpotentially explosive areas.
▶ Use fiber-free cleaning cloths for cleaning.
▶ Use suitable mild cleaning agents to remove lubricants and other
difficult-to-remove contamination. Do not allow cleaning agents toenter into
thehydraulic system.
▶ Only clean the axial piston unit with a damp cloth; cleaning with a dry cloth could
cause static electricity to build.
7.3 Installation position
The axial piston unit can beinstalled inthe following positions. The pipeline routing
shown illustrates thebasic layout.
WARNING
Risk of explosion and/or fire due to ignition of combustible dust or of an
explosive dust-air mixture on a hot surface!
An improper installation position of the axial piston unit may result in risk of
explosion due to excessive case temperature during operation. Serious injury
caused by blast pressure and fire may result.
▶ Drain the case drain fluid at the highest port.
▶ For drain ports and pipeline routing conditions, see the data sheet Part II
▶ For above-reservoir installation and for all installation positions with the drive
shaft up, make sure a bearing flush is installed at port"U".
▶ Also take care to remove dust in a timely manner in order to reduce the risk of
ignition.
Select the installation location outside of the range of influence of pulsating
parts, e.g. cardan shaft.
Port F ispart oftheexternal piping and must beprovided onthe customer side
tomake filling and air bleeding easier.
