The NC multifunction card is always inserted in slot U5 of the BTV20.4A. If more
than one SERCOS ring is required, the slot bracket with the additional optical
fiber component is plugged in the U6 slot.
The following assignment applies:

A maximum of 3 SERCOS rings can be used in the MTA 200!
8.8 Connecting Cables
8.8.1 General Information
The SERCOS interface card of the MTA 200 is connected to the drives via the
SERCOS fiber optics cables. The connection is designed as a ring, i.e. at least
two SERCOS fiber optics cables are used depending on the number of drives.
Depending on the loacation of use, two different cables are used:
● For wiring within the control cabinet, a fiber optic cable with a diameter of
2.2 mm is used.
● Outside of the control cabinet, a sheathed fiber optic cable with a diameter
of 6.0 mm is used to resist higher mechnical loads.
