Steps
1. Place the heat sink on the system board and align the screw holes on the heat sink with the screw holes on the system
board.
2. In sequential order (as indicated on the heat sink), tighten the seven captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system
board.
Next steps
1. Install the battery (3-cell or 4-cell) based on the configuration.
2. Install the base cover.
3. Follow the procedure in after working inside your computer.

1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the battery (3-cell or 4-cell).
NOTE:
Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program settings to default. It is recommended that you note
the BIOS setup program settings before removing the coin-cell battery.
