Pin description
• Pin 1: IL1_SOURCE - Positive Interlock Source / +24V with short test
pulses
This pin delivers a current limited 24V source and can only be used to
drive Pin 2, Pin 3 and Pin 7 of this connector.
• Pin 2: Door lock; +24V
Coil driving output. Related to Pin 6: Case GND / PE. The coil must be
equipped with a inverse protection diode.
• Pin 3: IL1_INP - Interlock1 Input
This pin is used as input for the first interlock loop sourced via pin1.
• Pin 4: IL2_INP – Interlock2 Input
This pin is used as input for the 2nd interlock loop sourced via pin 5.
• Pin 5: IL2_SOURCE - Positive Interlock Source / +24V with short test
pulses
This pin delivers a current limited 24V source and can only be used to
drive Pin 4 of this connector.
• Pin 6: Case GND / PE
• Pin 7: Shutter/Laser Start Input
This pin can be driven with +24V delivered by pin 1, or by an external
+24V that is related to pin6 / case GND / PE.
This input is internally working in parallel to the other (X4 and X59) laser
start Inputs. Use this input for laser start if the system is equipped with
an optional shutter. Thus, applying of constant voltage at this pin will
suppress edges coming from the other Laser Start Inputs.
It is recommended to insert a start pulse with duration of 2-3 sec. In case of
need, shutter and/or laser may be re-started with a new pulse, for example
if an error with the shutter or the safety loops occurs.
