APPENDIX A : INSTALLATION
INTRODUCTION
WARNINGS: (1) There are high voltages inside the Macrojet 2.
The cover should not be removed by untrained
personnel.
(2) For the safety of personnel, all items in the
printer requiring connection to earth/ground
have cables for this purpose. Any earth/ground
cables disconnected at any time must be refitted
before the printer is returned to operation.
(3) Before handling ink or solvents use protective
gloves and spectacles.
Installation of a Macrojet 2 ink jet printer involves the following:
• fitting the cabinet and head(s), and connecting the input power supply
• preparing the electronics system
• preparing the ink system
• fitting and connecting the associated equipment.
Macrojet 2 can be fitted with extra print heads after the printer has left the
factory. This part of the manual therefore includes:
• how to fit another print head.
