1 Set »VT« knob to 1.0 L.
2 Set »Rate« knob to 5 bpm.
3 Set »I:E« knob to 2 : 1.
4 Set »Pmax« knob to 40 cmH2O.
● Keep test lung compressed and watch pressure
gauge.
● At an airway pressure of 36 to 40 cmH2O, the
ventilator should switch to expiration, deflating the test
lung.
5 The red alarm status light starts flashing and the
following message will appear on the display:
together with an intermittent audible alarm.
● Release test lung.
● The audible alarm will stop.
6 Press »g Reset« to clear the display.
Checking »Paw low« Alarm
Using the previous settings:
● Disconnect test lung from patient valve.
5 After approximately 25 seconds, the red alarm status
light starts flashing and the following message will
appear on the display:
together with an intermittent audible alarm.
● Reconnect test lung.
● The intermittent audible alarm will stop after
approximately 25 seconds.
6 Press »g Reset« to clear the display.
