Check before start-up

Either cylinder pressure equals at least 1500 psi or
ventilator connected to medical gas pipeline system 0
Power supply verified: fully charged pack of rechargeable (NiCd) or
new alkaline batteries
If external power supply: either connected to line power or

Function check
Connect test lung to patient valve 0
Dial knobs: VT to 0.5 L
Rate to 12 bpm

Red alarm status lights up briefly
Alarm tone sounds twice

Test "Paw low" alarm: Remove test lung alarm after approx. 20 seconds
Test "Paw high" alarm: Re-attach test lung and compress alarm
