Switch the n otebook off when it is not in use. Switch off external, connecte d devices if you
are not using them. If you use the energy saving functions, the notebook uses less energy.
You will then be able to work for longer before having to recharge the battery.
Energy efficiency is increased and the environmental impact is reduced .
You save money while p rotecting the environment.

attendants if it is OK to do so.
When travelling in other countrie

► If you are travelling abroad, ch eck that the mains adapter can be op erated with the
local mains voltage. If this is not the case, obtain the appropriate mains adapter for
your notebook. Do not use any other voltage converter!
► C heck whether the local mains vo
ltage and the power cable are compatible. If this is
not the case, buy a power cable th
at matches the local conditions.
► Enquire with the corresponding government office of t he country you will be
travelling in as to whether you may operate the radio component integrated in
your notebook t here (see also "
CE marking ", Page 78).
