5.25-inch Hard Disk Drive Installation
The following paragraphs describe how to install a 5.25-inch hard disk drive into
your mass storage system. Your mass storage system can contain up to three
5.25-inch hard disk drives.
Note
5.25-inch hard disk drives can be installed into any slot. The
first 5.25-inch
hard disk drive should be installed in slot 2 (rear
slot) if it is empty. This leaves the front slots open for devices
that might require front panel access.
Unpacking the Upgrade Kit
Unpack and identify the contents of the upgrade kit. Figure 2-1 shows the
contents of the 5.25-inch hard disk drive upgrade kit.
