Installing
the
Rewritable
Optical
Controller
PCA
Note
In
order
to install
the
controller PCA, the device (if any) in slot
2 (the right
rear
slot), must be temporarily removed, so
that
the
controller PCA can slide into place.
1.
Install
the
PCA
mounting bracket into
the
chassis with
the
bracket-to-chassis
screw as shown in Figure 5-3.
2.
Slide
the
controller
PCA
into
the
PCA
guides in slot 1 (see Figure 5-3
and
Figure 5-4). Ensure
that
the
two holes in
the
controller PCA
near
the
front
of
the
mass storage system align with
the
holes in the mounting
bracket
beneath
the
controller PCA.
3. Install
the
two bracket-to-PCA screws (see Figure 5-4) through
the
controller
PCA into
the
mounting bracket.
Do
not over-tighten these screws.
After
the
rewritable optical disk drive
is
installed, reinstall
the
device (if any)
that
was removed from slot 2 (refer to
the
note above). Refer to
the
installation
instructions in
the
appropriate section of this manual.
