Finishing work
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 37)

– Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 37)

– Shift gear to neutral.
– Check the rear sprocket and engine sprocket for wear.
» If the rear sprocket and engine sprocket are worn:

Change the power set. x

The engine sprocket, rear sprocket and chain should always be
replaced together.

– Pull on the upper part of the chain with the specified weight A.
Guideline
Weight, chain wear measurement 10… 15 kg (22… 33 lb.)
– Measure the distance B of 18 chain links in the lower chain section.
Info
Chain wear is not always even, so you should repeat this measurement at
different chain positions.

» If the distance B is greater than the specified measurement:

Change the power set. x
Info
When the chain is replaced, the rear sprocket and engine sprocket
should also be changed.
New chains wear out faster on old, worn sprockets.

– Check the chain sliding guard for wear.
» If the bottom edge of the chain bolt is in line with or below the chain sliding
guard:
–
Change the chain sliding guard. x
– Check that the chain sliding guard is firmly seated.
» If the chain sliding guard is loose:
– Tighten the chain sliding guard.

Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm
