22.2 Troubleshooting of the battery charger

The faults are indicated by LED
on the battery charger. All of the following blink
codes are displayed on the charger and refer to the charger itself.
Tip
The first step to take in case of any fault is to switch off the battery charger,
wait for 15 seconds, and then switch it back on.
If a fault is not eliminated by the measures specified here, or a blink code is not
listed, an authorized KTM workshop will be happy to help you.
Info
The pause between the signals of the 1st digit is 0.25 seconds.
The pause between the 1st and 2nd digits is 1 second.
The pause between the signals of the 2nd digit is also 0.25 seconds.
The pause until the blink code repeats is 3 seconds.
Faults Possible cause Action
Blink code 11 on battery charger Fault in the charging cable – Check the charging plug and charging cable for
external damage and dirt and reconnect.
Blink code 12 on battery charger Fault in the charging cable – Check the charging plug and charging cable for

Blink code 13 on battery charger Fault in the charging cable – Check the charging plug and charging cable for
external damage and dirt and reconnect.
Blink code 51 on battery charger Overtemperature of the battery
charger
– Let the charger cool down.
– Continue charging in a cooler location.
Blink code 63 on battery charger Fault in the supply voltage – Use the Normal charging mode.
– Choose a socket closer to the central supply.
Blink code 65 on battery charger Fault in the supply voltage – Use the Normal charging mode.
– Choose a socket closer to the central supply.
