Sound Setting
Allows you to select an audio-enhancement technique.
1. Press the MENU button to display the main menu. Press the
buttons
to select the SOUND menu and then press the
button or the OK
button.
2. Press the
buttons to select the following options, and then press
buttons to adjust each option’s setting or the OK button to select the
options.

Sound Mode You can select this function when DTS TruSurround switch off. It allows the selection of an audio-
enhancement technique: Standard / Movie / Music / Personal.
Alternative
You may press the S.MODE button to select the sound mode directly.
Treble Controls the relative intensity of higher pitched sounds. (for Personal mode)
Bass Controls the relative intensity of lower-pitched sounds. (for Personal mode)
Balance Adjusts the relative volume of the speakers in a multiple speaker system.
AVL (Auto
Volume Limiting)
Activates the auto volume leveller to keep the volume level consistent whenever you change
channels if selecting On.
The volume level may not be consistent due to different signal conditions of broadcasting
stations if selecting Off.
DTS
TruSurround
DTS TruSurround delivers an immersive virtual surround sound experience over front facing
speaker configurations, complete with rich bass, high frequency detail and clear dialogue. Press
the OK button to select On / Off.
Digital Audio
Output
Selects the digital audio output mode: PCM / Auto / Off.
Audio
Description
(DTV mode only)
This will only work if the programme you are watching broadcasts the audio description. You
will hear a description of what is happening on screen, it is designed for people with a visual
impairment.
1. Press the
button to highlight Audio Description, then press the OK button to enter the
sub-menu.
2. Press the
buttons to switch the Mode to On.
3. Press to
button to select Volume, then press the buttons to adjust the volume of the
audio description.
Sound Type
(DTV mode only)
Select the sound type: Stereo / Dual I / Dual II / Mixed.
4. Press the MENU button to return to the previous menu, press again to
return to the main menu.
5. Press the EXIT button to exit the menu.
Stereo / Dual Sound Reception (ATV Mode)
When a programme is selected, press the AUDIO button to display the sound information for the selected station.
