Deleting recorded data
You can delete recorded data.
Step
1 Press the SET UP button on the front panel of
the recorder or left-click the mouse.

2 Select [HDD registration].

3 Select [Setting] next to [Data clear].

4 Select [Clear] next to the device that contains the
data you want to delete.
Notice
When you try to delete data from the Main device with
the password lock for HDD protection enabled, the
screen for disabling the password lock is displayed. In
this case, disable the password lock and then delete
the data.
Note that you cannot delete the data from the HDD
being in operation such as playback, recording, and
copying.
You can delete data from the Copy device during
recording to the Main device.
You cannot delete the data from the archive device or
copy device being used for playback or copy.
You cannot delete the data in the copy device during
archive. In addition, you cannot delete the data in the
archive device during copy.
Note that it takes about 30 to 60 minutes to delete
data from a DVD disc in an external drive.
You cannot restore deleted data.
To initialize the external devices, use the data deletion
function of the recorder. If you initialize them using a
PC or other device, they may become unusable with
this recorder anymore.
