Enhance sound
About Audio effects
Use preset equalizers to enhance your phone’s speaker sound, or apply sound profiles to your headphones
or other connected device based on the type of media playing.
Turn Audio effects on/off
1. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Audio effects.
2.
Turn it on or off .
To use only for the phone's speaker, set the sound profile for headphones or other audio devices to
CUSTOM > > Flat.
To use only for headphones or connected devices, set the speaker equalizer to Flat.
Set equalizer for phone's speaker
1. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Audio effects.
2.
Make sure it's on and that no devices are connected.
3. Select an equalizer for the speaker.
Set sound profile for headphones or connected device
You can select a preset sound profile for your headphones or other connected device, and your phone will
remember the next time you connect it.
1. Connect your headphones or other audio device.
2. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Audio effects.
3.
Make sure it's on .
4. Select an effect:
•
3D Stereo: Immersive and spatial sound experience, great for gaming
•
Theater: Optimized for surround sound
•
Live: Simulates the effect of a live concert
•
Custom: Touch to select a preset equalizer profile and a surround sound option
Add/remove as app or quick setting
To show or hide Moto Audio in your list of apps:
1. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Moto Audio.
2.
Touch > Show icon in the app tray or Hide icon in app tray.
To add or remove Moto Audio in quick settings:
